Climate and environmental justice is one of the most complex, interconnected, and important issues facing the world today. It is an ethical, political, public health, and – above all – social justice issue. Changes in personal practices and systemic policy change are both necessary to fully address the magnitude of climate and environmental justice.

Temple Sinai has committed to this BRIT OLAM, covenant with the world, a program of the Reform Movement that promotes Jewish values, educational and action opportunities to deal with climate change, and the effects of climate change and pollution.

We have begun with educational articles in our monthly newsletter, and hope to continue expanding our work in this area.

LA Faith and Ecology Network

TSG is a participant in this new program, co-sponsored by California Interfaith Power & Light and the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development, and working with other faith groups in the Southern California area to fight climate change.
